My story

I once started my career in a small optician’s shop. There, I learnt the intricacies of the trade as an eyewear fitter, and took part-time training. From the beginning of my career, my heart was set on fitting contact lenses. After a few years, it was time to make a move to a leading contact lens centre, combining practice with my schooling. Years later via training as an HBO optometrist in Utrecht, and finally the master’s degree in optometry at City Univercity in London, my work, is my greatest hobby. And now, still looking for new developments, which I can put into practice. And now? I regularly gain energy and inspiration from colleagues at home and abroad. With all the new materials, contact lens designs and surprising possibilities, I never get tired of my work.
